This pendant was meticulously drilled and cut by hand from an actual Irish 2 Pence coin. It features a stylized Celtic knot bird.

The design on the coin is a stylized bird in a Celtic knot, adapted from an image in an illuminated manuscript. Most coin collecting reference guides indicate that the image was taken from The Second Bible of Charles the Bald, but some list the image as a decorative letter "U" coming from the Book of Kells.

This coin is 25.9 mm and is copper in color. It comes on a strong and hypoallergenic 20" stainless steel chain. Other chain or cord options are possible upon request.
