Design of Danish Tartan

This blue, red and white tartan celebrates the links between the countries of Denmark and Scotland over the centuries, combining the colours of the Danish and Scottish flags. All of our tartan is woven locally with 100% wool and, wherever possible, with British wool. It can be ordered by the metre or half metre. We can also create a bespoke Danish tartan product for you. Choose from a wide range which includes kilts, shawls, ties, cosmetic bags and more. They will be handmade in our workshop in the South of Scotland.

The Story behind our Danish Tartan

Created by David McGill to celebrate the birth of Prince Christian of Denmark, for Danish people worldwide and those associated with Denmark. Approved by the Danish Honorary Consul, Norman Irons in 2006. This tartan is part of our Nordic Tartans Collection including Sweden, Iceland, Norway and Finland.
